Statement on the Elizabeth Johnson Case

Elizabeth has asked me to convey her thanks to the many people who have supported her through this ordeal.  She remains deeply remorseful for her actions, and the extraordinary pain she caused, and continues to cause, to Logan’s family.  Elizabeth believes Gabriel is with a loving family, and she hopes someday Gabriel will either be found or will come forward.  Elizabeth very much misses and loves Gabriel.  Elizabeth was relieved by the sentence she received in court.  She plans to finish serving the balance of her time and to successfully complete her probation.  She plans to devote her future to helping single mothers in crisis, and hopes to make a positive difference in the world by helping others avoid the mistakes she made.  Although we asked the judge to impose probation on all three counts, we believe the judge’s sentence was reasonable and fair.  We expect Elizabeth to be released, with good behavior, in little more than one year.  Overall, Elizabeth and her family are very pleased with the results of both the trial and sentencing.

  1. Marc, you are to be commended for the way in which you represented Elizabeth during her trial. I truly believe Elizabeth is an honest, down to earth good young lady. I followed most of the proceedings via my computer and caught some info via the evening TV news. Marc, U look good on TV! I know Elizabeth will be a very productive citizen in society because of your influence on her. Hopefully, baby Gabriel will show up sometime, somewhere in the future! Semper fi, Marc! Keep up the good work!
